Security

Practical security information for Pynecode customers and users.

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Security Approach

Pynecode is a hosted web application for business operations records. The service uses password-protected accounts and role or user access where applicable. Security is an ongoing improvement area as Pynecode grows.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for choosing strong passwords, limiting account access to appropriate users, removing access when users leave, and reviewing roles and permissions regularly.

Data Entered Into Pynecode

Customers own their organization data and are responsible for the accuracy of data they enter. Users should avoid storing highly sensitive data unless it is necessary for operational use.

No Compliance Claims

Pynecode does not currently claim SOC 2, HIPAA, FERPA, PCI, or other formal compliance certifications. Pynecode should not be used as a payment card storage system, medical records system, payroll system, or legal compliance system.

Operational Scope

Pynecode is not an accounting, tax, legal, financial, payroll, AP/AR, or ERP replacement. It is intended to support inventory, fixed asset, location, and operational record workflows.

Security Issues

If you believe you found a security issue, contact admin@pynecode.com with a clear description. Please do not access, modify, delete, or disclose data that does not belong to you.

Data Requests

Customers may request data export or deletion by contacting support.
